Thanks Nightskyspy. I needed a good photo for this, and i found it really quickly, but I still thought that I should search for a better one if possible ... but it was not to be. The more I searched, the more I realised that I had already found what I was looking for.
I will try to keep better track of my passwords in future. I realise that i just could not live without them ... and trying to track them down was the biggest pain I have had in ages!

… first of all it is a great photo, well picked really. it is sad and evokes a feeling of something coming to an end. one cannot see the person’s face but only the silhouette against the bleak wall, the stooped shoulders, and the shiny hair … then the eyes get focused on the dark suitcase and move down to take in the floor with its weird stained look. the big suitcase looks heavy and difficult to carry… the photo is moving in its simplicity and somewhat melancholic too, the person brooding over both the past and the future … or maybe just reflecting on the moment at hand…

ahhhh farmercash / Mícheál is leaving… is moving somewhere else…

but it sounds good – like a new thing, new challenge … good luck with the move … hopefully it does go smoothly and seamlessly … with things not lost along the way and with no lost passwords too!

take care

till later

oh nightskyspy, i don't know about any new updates here. I have lots of photos of the swallows of course but i just had no time to put them up. regardless of that, I am creating a new blog at the moment, and will maybe put the pictures there.
I will have to give it a new identity, because i don't think that i want to be found to be honest. I liked my little space where nobody knew who i was, and it also afforded me the chance to be who i liked too!

unfortunately, i can't find my blog password now, though the site is there all the same. there may be another way to get in, but for the moment i have other things to do with my time. my g/f is taking up lots of my spare time, so she is to blame somewhat for me not blogging much in the last few months

so if you want to get the address of my new blog.... please email me at "farmer cash DELETETHIS [ at ] gmail . com" . Of course you must remove the 'DELETETHIS' and the spaces and the [ at ] should be @ to get my correct email address. I do this to stop my email address getting onto other spam lists.
it's bad enough that i get 50 plus spam messages per day without getting more. at least gmail gets rid of them all so i never have to see them thankfully.

i'm not a fan of body temperature milk from the cow ... but i really do like skimming the foam off the top after it has been cooled. mmmmm creamy. at a guess i'd say it's 3% fat, 95% air ... so it isn't that fattening :))

The first one is a perfect name I must say. Now, instead of reading "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murakami I was reading Rough Hands by Farmercash :) Enjoyable read and interesting photos. Time to sleep - after all here it is one hour later than in Ireland (though my watch shows Irish time as a reminder). Maybe now I will read one page or two of the book.

that is unfortunate for the city kids not to be able to get out there - "into the mud." I as lucky enough to be able to and I used to watch my grandma milk the cow. She would then bring the bucket full of milk into the kitchen, the milk was still warm and with foam on top. I would drink it then - the best taste, the best milk ever. As you wrote though, people nowadays are not used to drinking it raw.

we don't have any curlew's on our farm because we don't have marsh / bog. I usually see them once a year when we are in the bog (about 5 miles from here) drawing in turf for my uncle.
shanks mare finished last year. i heard it a few times when i was in the tractor (of all the places) ... but i would not have been a regular listener. the local radio station 103FM is on here most of the time. RTE hardly gets a look in.

how cool. do you ever listen to RTE? they used to have a nature show called "shank's mare." one of the episodes was about the curlew, which used to be everywhere in ireland but is now nearly gone. it's a great program. you can still find it on iTunes. i load it into my iPod for walks with Riley and Boscoe. you'd like it.

Yest they need to run badly. If they had some other dog with them that they could learn from, then they would probably be better off. They really have immense power when they get going.
It is said that greyhounds make great pets ... BUT, apparently they always have that instinct to run down that which appears to be fleeing from them ... which could be really dangerous for children.
Those two are out of a super line of racers. A half sister (out of the same bitch) of the two above sold for €15000 last year. Pat's hoping for the same kind of result, but he doesn't mind really as long as he can enjoy them. He got them for free from his uncle. Rear the two and keep one for racing. Seems like a good deal to me as he's only starting out.

man, those dogs need to RUN.

my neighbor here in the city used to have three greyhounds. they were older dogs, retired from racing, and he adopted them. i've never seen such impressive leg muscles.

hi laurie. Hmmm, I don't have a webcam, anyway how would I get the video back into the house! I do have video on my camera, so maybe i can try to take a few clips and stick them up on youtube. I'll see if i can get it to work. give me a chance and i'll see if i can make a go of it. It should be fairly simple though (in theory)
